Elves Manor – St. Louis, MO


Elves Manor is located in the historic district in the Central West End of St Louis, Missouri.

Built in 2001, Elves Manor offers nightly and weekly rental opportunities for those visiting the area.

The two-story carriage house has two bedrooms, two full baths. and a second-floor sitting room. The facility sleeps up to six people and includes a vegetarian breakfast for all those who visit the charming establishment.

Elves Manor offers easy access to boutique shopping, restaurants, and walking tours of local architectural attractions.

Throughout Elves Manor, a quiet army of elves, fairies and gnomes protect the property. The collectibles were gathered over time by the original occupant, the mother of the current owner and steward of the place.

Among the items on display are three gnomes standing sentry on the mantel and Duncan, Winston & Quigley, a trio of elfish creatures who guard the second-floor fire extinguisher.

Born in Philadelphia, Jerome Alphonse Holst worked 30 years as a librarian. He has since retired and lives in Thomasville, North Carolina. Mr. Holst is also the author of the children’s books “Norman the Troll,” "Norman the Troll and the Haunted House," and "Gretchen and the Gremlins." In addition, he penned the fantasy novel “The Adventures of Glinda Gale,” a retelling of “The Wizard of Oz" and the reference text “The Encyclopedia of Movie and TV Insults.” .
