Trollkins – Little bitty hillbilly-like creatures who lived in the forest city of Trolltown (population: 347) on the Hanna-Barbera Saturday cartoon TROLLKINS/CBS/1981-82.

“They call them Trollkins, good ol’ Trollkins…they’re not as big as you and me, but if you look, you just might see Trollkins, little Trollkins…feudin’ and fussin’ at Trolltown Jamboree!” – Theme

The Trollkins dwell in a tiny little house at the bottom of a tree. They use miniature hi-tech transports like motorcycles and dune buggies to get around.

The main citizens of this elfin society included blustery Mayor Troliver J. Lumpkin (Paul Winchell); his teenage son, Blitz Lumpkin (Steve Spears); the inept Sheriff Pudge Trollsom (Alan Oppenheimer), the head of the Troll Patrol; his teenage daughter, Pixlee Trollsom (Jennifer Darling); the sheriff’s helpers Deputroll Dotty (Jennifer Darling) and Deputroll Flake (Marshall Efron); and Flooky the dog (Frank Welker), the community’s canine companion who barked “Trolf!”

A rowdy group of motorcyclists known as “The Trollchoppers” (Bogg, Slug and Afid) were always causing trouble for the mayor and the sheriff of Trolltown.

NOTE: The cartoon series was a cross between of the CBS series THE DUKES OF HAZZARD (1979-1985) and the NBC series and THE SMURFS (1981-1990).

Each TROLLKINS episode had two mini-episodes which ran for about 10 1/2 minutes.

Episode titles featured the word “Troll” (e.g., “Trolltown Goes Trollywood,” “Trolltown Meets Kling Klong,” “The Case Of The Missing Trollosaurus,” “The Trollerbear Scare,” “Escape from Alcatroll,” “The Trollness Monster,” “The Trollchoppers Meet Frogzilla,” “Robotroll,” “The Trollyapolis 500,” “Trollin The Magician,” “The Great Troll Train Wreck,” “Trolltown Goes Ga-Ga,” “Treasure Of Troll Island,” “Mirror, Mirror On The Troll,” “The Empire Strikes Trolltown,” “Raiders Of The Lost Troll,” “The Moth That Ate Trolltown,” “Fine, Feathered Lumpkin,” “Bermuda Trollangle,” and “Supertroll”).
